Remembering Jack Egan and Peggy Roach
Old friends, co-workers, long-time admirers, and a lot of folks who were just inspired by this dynamic duo of Catholic social justice met in May at DePaul University in Chicago to reminisce and celebrate the witness of Monsignor Jack Egan and his partner in crime Peggy Roach. The occasion was the fifth anniversary of Egan's passing. Roach passed away in April.

Though the two will always be remembered fondly by folks of a certain age, some time spent by the Egan memorial in the courtyard of the DePaul Student Center suggests there's some work to be done if these two legendary activists are going to be remembered for their many good works in support of civil rights and social justice in America.
