The Coalition for Justice in the Maquiladoras (CJM) is a coalition of more than 100 religious, environmental, labor, Latino, and women's organizations working to pressure U.S. transnational corporations to adopt socially responsible practices within the maquiladora industry.

Drawing on U.S., Mexican, and United Nations standards, CJM has crafted the "Maquiladora Standards of Conduct," a code through which corporations can commit themselves to alleviate the acute problems created by this industry.

The coalition and the code of conduct focus on environmental contamination, health and safety practices, fair employment practices, standards of living, and community impact.

CJM also engages in legislative advocacy—both in the U.S. and Mexico—and works through the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility to file stockholder resolutions with U.S. corporations.

The coalition publishes a quarterly newsletter and has a number of booklets, videos, and reports available.
